Yes your baby could have a problem called 'glue ear'. This often follows after an ear infection has been treated. Thick sticky non-infected mucous remains behind in the middle ear which cannot drain down the eustachian tubes.As this glue ear problem can cause interference with hearing at this critical stage in your baby's language development it would be best to have her ears checked. See your paediatrician first. In the meantime keep her nose clear by using saline nose drops at least twice a day.
