Q.

Camphor Tablets

A black lady at my child's school recommended using Refined Camphor Tablets to clear my childs chestiness (I must fasten one block onto his vest) - my boy is 18 months old - would this be safe? I bought a box full of it at our chemist, but this stuff has a really potent smell.

Please do not use camphor as it can be very poisonous if your child sucks the block by accident or puts it in his mouth.

Hi Anel

You need to put the campher block in a "lappie" and fold it close and pin onto the vest. My daughter (15 months) wears this everyday of her life, and that is the only think that helps her with her nose and chest.
