Hi doctor,

My daugher is now nearly 21 months and weighs 10.5 kg with 79cm. she only drinks 1 cup fresh milk and want no more. I want to give her a calcium supplement. what do u recommend.
I also want to dind out if pediasure can cause dairrhoea as i gave her last week first time only and after that her stomach was running for 3 days.

Your daughter's weight is just slightly below the average for her age. Her height is well below the average of 83cm for a little girl of 21 months.Some children do get diarrhoea when they are on Pediasure so it would be best to stop this formula. Your daughter's weight is really quite good and she does not need to be on a special formula such as Pediasure.Try her on Parmalat First Growth milk and see if she will take this milk.If your daughter eats dairy products she should be getting enough in the way of calcium.
