Hi Doc,
My one month old has broken out in a horribly looking rash - i think... She has red bumps all over her face. It started on her forehead and moving lower. Her cheeks are full of them, and now it is spreading to her neck and upper back it looks like. some friends say its a heat rash, others an allergy to her formula. She is on lactogen - but it seems to be agreeineg with her. Her tummy is fine, and she does not seem to be in any pain ... and not particularly fussy.
She is due for her 6 week appointment with her pead next week - should I mabe move the appointment up?
thanks for the help!

This may be a rash called seborrhoea or seborrhoeic eczema. This is a common rash in young babies and usually disappears by the age of 5 or 6 months. If it is severe then treatment may be needed. There is no need to move your appointment with your paediatrician.
