Q.

Brushing teeth - 5 month old

Dear Dr. My little boy cut his first tooth at 4.5 months and is now 5 months old. The tooth is showing nicely but no others have appeared yet (although he is still chewing and drooling and loves having his gums rubbed).
When should I start brushing this tooth? I am concerend about him swallowing toothpaste, should I maybe try to clean it with a cotton bud a glycerine?
Thank you for your advice.

You do not need to use a toothbrush and toothpaste yet as he is too young. Just gently cleaning his tooth with a cotton bud is a good idea now.
