Q.

bringing up milk

My daughter is 5 months old and she still brings up after drinking. When she is breastfed and I havent eaten anything yet, she is fine. As soon as I have something to drink or eat and then feed her, she vomits.
She also vomits after giving her a bottle of NAN1 formula milk.
Could there be something wrong?

Bringing up small volumes of milk after a feed or with a burp is normal in babies. However, if these volumes are excessive, your child is not growing well or develops recurrent lung problems it will require evaluation. The breast milk is not to blame.

It sounds to me like she is just suffering from reflux. My son also had it realy bad, even purity came back out. Usually it clears up at about 6 months, my sons didn't. My paediatrician prescribed infant gaviscon which realy helped and then at about 9 months it started to clear up, now he is fine. As long as she is picking up weight and not loosing then there is nothing to worry about.

My son also vomited when i gave him nan & s26 try changing her formula to Nutricia it helped for my son. Also after you fed her keep her in a sitting position for 1/2 an hour so the milk can go to her stomach.
