breastfeeding, weaning and solids

My baby is just over 8 months and is growing well, she' s healthy and has a lovely nature.
I am unsure about her eating routine and want to knwo when would be a good time to wean from the breast.
At present, we have fruit for breakfast after a morning breastfeed  followed by a veggie-lentil lunch just after 11- after which I sometimes give her a short breastfeed or her cup with water
At 2pm she has a full breastfeed
At 5pm she has supper - which tends to be banana or butternut as she is a fussy eater and I am not pro dairy or animal protein
and then she has a full breastfeed at 6:15pm before she goes to sleep.
lately she' s been waking around midnight for another feed but she wont eat more during teh day - thought it may be coz of that.
what do you suggest? should i introduce a different food at one of her meals?
i have a very good supply of milk butnot sure when is a good time to wean her. i heard there is no benefit to breastfeeding beyond 6 months - is that true?
what would i replce her feed with if I wean her? I dont feel like starting with formula and bottles given that I have ample free milk supply on hand...
please give me your suggestions as to what i should do
thank you

Read your first sentence again and you will find the answer to your question. Your baby is thriving, you have plenty of breastmilk and you enjoy breastfeeding, so why wean her now? There is no truth to the rumour that there is no advantage to breast feeding a baby for more than 6 months.
