I dont like breast feeding moms to be on the pill. Ask your breast feeding clinic for advice.

You have to take Microval while breast feeding. It is the only pill safe for your little one until you stop breast feeding.

I'm on the 2 month injection. Who can remember to take a pill every morning with a little one around! :)

i was given the mini pill, but it's not as effective as Triphasel and I have read that you could go onto the normal pill at a certain stage even while breastfeeding - i thought because i had started my periods it would be ok now. my baby only drinks from me about 2 - 3 times a day now so i thought that Triphasel would be safe?

No - you cannot take a regular pill while breastfeeding as the hormones will pass through your milk to your baby. I believe that you can take the 'mini pill' or something but best you speak to your gynae about this.

Your gynae should've discussed contraceptive methods with you at your 6 week check up.
