Q.

Breastfeeding-Lactose Intolerant

Hello,

My sweetheart is 6 months old and lactose intolerant. Shall I continue breastfeeding? If I can, which foods do I exclude from my diet?

Thank you!

You do not need to exclude any foods from your diet but you do know that breast milk also contains lactose.Anyhow if your baby tolerates your breastmilk it is fine to continue breastfeeeding.

I was in same boat ; from what I could make out: eat just what you want, no influence....breast milk has certain % lactose in it anyway, not increased by what you eat.

I stopped breastfeeding at 8 months, on soya formula, symptoms not better or worse.

Good luck!
