Dear Prof

Thank you, guess I''ll still be here for a while as my youngest is now only 15 months.

I have another question regarding my 3 yo. He still drinks from his bottle at bed time...I know he''s a bit old for it, but I it will be difficult to take him off the bottle while his younger brother still has it. OR should I try to get them both off the bottle now? is it detrimental for him to still drink bottle at his age? It definatle is a comfort thing, but could it have any other negative effects? he is seeing his pead tomorrow for his 3 year checkup, so I will ask about the tongue issues then as well.

Many thanks!

There is no need to worry too much about your 3 year old still drinking from a bottle at night. This is very common. Offer him a cup of milk instead but if he refuses don't push things too much. He will give up his bottle by himself with time. It is still a comfort thing at this stage.
