Blocked nose worse at night

Hi Doc,
My daughter who will be 4 years old in July has been suffering from a blocked / runny nose since about October / November last year. Almost every day her nose will start to run either in the morning when she wakes up or in the afternoon from about 16h00 - 17h00. I have given her Clarinese but this takes a few hours before the nose will stop. Also now with winter I'm not sure if its a cold or not as her nose now seems to stay congested and runny and at night her breathing is very heavy / deep snoring. I'm using Flusin C at the moment and not sure whether to continue using this as this is now the 2nd bottle she's on. Please give me advice. Thanx.

As your daughter's blocked nose problem has been going on for several months this is not due to a cold. She probably has a nasal allergy. She should be seen and tested by a paediatrician with an interest in paediatric allergy. There are experts in all the main centres in SA.
