My son is 13 months. Last night at 6pm I noticed that he had what looked like a bite mark on his back, you can see the teeth marks than there is a red dot in the middle. I cleant it with detol and put some germolene on it. I put more germolene on it this morning, it has scabbed over completly now. He does not complain as if it is sore or anything. I asked the creche this morning and nobody knows anything. They are saying that maybe he hurt himself on something. He is up to date with his injections. Should I take him for a tetanus injection? Please help me!!!! Thanx

Your son has a clearly defined bite on his back. The only way this could have happened is that another child bit him while he was at the creche. You must speak to the creche manager again about this and if you are not happy you should remove him from the creche. If the bite is clean and there is no sign of infection then there should be no need for concern at this stage. Your son has been immunised against tetanus as a young baby.
