my child is 7 years old and still wets his bed every night. he used to wear nappies until two weeks ago, but it doesn''t fit anymore. our first child (11years old) was potty trained at age two and only wet his bed about four times the first week and never again. this situation is totally unacceptable and embarrassing. PLEASE HELP. our peadiatrician''s only advice is to give him less fluids, but I think there must be a medical problem.

You are correct.Your son has a real problem and it is very embarrassing for him in particular.Your son should have been treated by his paediatrician when he was 5 years old and spared your son all of this stress. There are several successful treatments available. Your son may need a check up first before being started on treatment. You will probably need to get a second opinion so that your son can get started as soon as possible.
