Q.

Bed wetting @ 5 1/2 years

My daughter aged 5 1/2 years still wears night nappies. She is a heavy sleeper. Is it true that until the bladder is mature enough that the wetting will continue? We have tried on four seperate occasions to do night training, she is however asleep when we put her on the loo. ( she does urinate each time ) are we wasting our energy, or is it time for medical intervention? Funny thing is that she has had daytime bladder control since 14 months!
Thanks

Paediatrician

She is at an age where she should no longer be in night nappies. It is the time to consult your paediatrician about her night wetting problem which is called enuresis.
