Q.

Balding little person!

My daughter is 4 and 1/2 years old. I have noticed a growing bald patch on the top of her head! She is not pulling it out. I've never heard of this in little people before! The hair is not breaking off. The skin does seem a bit dry and mildly flaky in the patch. It is not itchy or red. The skin is white. Who do I go to with this problem?

There are many causes of this quite common problem in young children from a fungal infection to pulling out the hair when they are not being observed. In any case you need to take her to a dermatologist for an opinion.
