Q.

Baby' s Problem

I am worried about my nine month old not be able to role from her back to her stomach, when she is lying on her back she is helpless and will only kick with her legs. Another problem she is not crawling, but when lying on her stomach she slides forward like a worm. She sits very well, and started sitting from 5months. She can only change her position when she is sitting, onto her stomach.

Can it be caused by being overweight that she can' t role from her back to her stomach, because she is fat, or is this abnormal should i consult a specialist.

can you please also advice, what kind of specialist i should consult. Than You

This is very common. Most babies only start to crawl at around 10 months and many completely skip the crawling stage and simply start to walk at around 12 to 13 months. Sometimes babies who are a bit overweight seem to struggle to turn over. There is no need to for concern here as your baby sat early.
