Q.

Baby's meals

Hi Doc, my baby is 8 months old and i am very worried that she is eating too much. She eats Purity Porridge in the morning, and then at about 12 / 1 she eats Purity 3rd foods(cereal) and then at 3 she eats Purity no2 and maybe a bottle again (125ml) and then at about 7 she eats Purity Cereal or veggies and doesnt take the bottle at night. So i feel tht for her age thts just too much pls help. And pls tel mi wht is the normal weight for a baby her age, she just loves food too much. Resposne from anyone wil be highly appreciated.

She should weigh about 8.5 kilos at her age.She is certainly solids too frequently at this stage. It could be that you are not giving her enough calories with the cereals and veggies and she may need a more varied diet in the morning and evening especially. You certainly need to cut out the 3pm cereal.

A baby will eat as much as she needs, you cannot put an infant on diet. You must make sure she gets enough fluids.
