baby reflux and gaviscon

my 7 week old baby has reflux and paed suggested giving gaviscon before a meal. been giving her 1ml of adult gaviscon, but then read package insert and it says not to give to babies. is there another type of gaviscon i should be giving her?

also what else can i do to help her stop puking?

You are using the wrong Gaviscon! Use the infant Gaviscon sachets; half a sachet per feed. If this does not help after a week, go back to your paediatrician.

I have used 2ml of adult gaviscon in each of my babies bottles since he was 3 weeks old. oday he is 6 months. The infant gavsicon sachets are expensive and cause constipation. I also give him LOSEC every morning (tablet dissolved in water and given to him in a medicine dropper)
It has made such a difference.
Ask your paed about LOSEC and from experience adult gavsicon is fine.

My baby started with reflux at 2 weeks, when she hit 7 weeks it started getting worse. By worse I mean when she threw up it went over my shoulder. I went to the ped she gave me tablets (How would it stay in?)
I took her to my GP and he said she should get to hospital.
They ran test and figured out that her bottom valve of her stomache has over developed and they had to take her in to theatre. They say they can only pick this up at seven weeks and it is very comon in babies. If the reflux gets worse just look out for that!
