My daughter from birth battled to get her wind up, I changed her formula 3 times (thinking it was the milk that caused her to cry)before discovering that she had colic. I originally breastfed her for 4 weeks before going to formula. She is now on soya (4th type of milk), she seems to wind better and cries less during that specific time of day, HOWEVER she has now become constipated! What do I do? Change again? When she WASN' T on soya she was definately more regular. She is now 3 months and Ive been using the soya for 1 week .

It seems very likely that your baby's constipation is due to the soya formula. It is really difficult to be sure about the exact cause of her abdominal discomfort and colic previously, but she may have lactose intolerance as she is better after being taken off a cow's milk formula. It is worthwhile trying her on one of the new lactose free formulas such as NAN LF and seeing if she is less constipated and happier.
