Baby Group

I am a single mom, I have a son 13 months old. We live with my parents who have been so incredibly amasing to me and my son.

My Mother looks after my son while I'm at work.

I need some information on baby play groups on saturdays.
My son has never been around another baby, I mean playing, interacting with another baby his age.

My Mother doesn't have a car and is unable to help me with this matter in the course of the week. So I'm enquiring about the weekends. I work really hectic hours or I'd take him myself. I live in the Alberton area, if anyone has any information about a baby play group.

My son needs to start interacting with other children younger and older than him, I would love to see how he responds around other children.

Much appreciated.

I hope someone can assist you in your particular area. There are playgoups of all shapes and sizes in most places.

Look in baby magazines (your baby, baby and me, living and loving) at the back, there are adverts for various baby groups.
Good luck. Both you and your baby will benefit from the social interaction.

Don't worry too much about baby though, until about 2 1/2, social interaction with other babies isn't vitally important, as babies play side by side anyway. As long as he's ina nursery school or other group setting about 3 days a week or more by that age, its fine.
