Baby going to creche

My 3 month old baby started creche today and one of my fears are that he'll be there for a week or two and come home with his first illness. I remember a while back I visited a GP's rooms and saw a brochure on a vaccination given to 4 month old kids & onwards who attend creche's/nursery schools. Can anyone tell me what this vaccine is called? I'd like to make some enquiries. Thank you.

Your baby should have the normal immunisations given to all children at 4 months plus you have the option of giving him the new pneumococcal vaccine and also the new oral vaccine for rotavirus.

Hi Dr

I would like to find out what causes this illness as my 4 year old niece was diagnosed with this, lay critical in hospital and after pulling through, had both feet amputated due to infection.
