Baby coughs only at night

Doctor my daughter is 3 months 2 weeks old. For the past week she had diarreah and vomitted only twice after drinking her milk. She is on Isomil1 because she is lactose intolerent. I took her to the doctor and was given some probiotic, and white medicine to stop diarreah and she got better.

2 days after getting better she started with a cough, only when i lay her down to sleep at night, it is more like an irritation and not a wet cough. Its been three nights having this cough that disturbs her sleep. I was wondering if it is acid reflux because she does have few little spit ups during the day especially when laying on her back or sitting on her bouncer. What madication can I use?

You have made a good diagnosis. I agree with you that your baby 's cough is most likley the result of acid reflux. The problem is that you cannot use an AR formula as a start because of your baby's lactose intolrance. It would be best to consult your paediatrician as your baby needs to go onto a safe medicine such as Nexiam or Losec to reduce the acidity of her stomach acid.
