Baby Biltong

My 14mth old cannot eat teething biscuits because she is allergic to the full cream milk powder. Is it okay to give her baby biltong to chew on?

I am worried about infants and young children choking on so called baby biltong.

1stly biltong can be very salty - yound children should not have salty diet due to their kidneys being immature, 2ndly i would only give saltless biltong bought at a reputable butcher shop that has a good healthy record behind their name and very hygienic butcher. Biltong can carry a germ which can cause illness even in years to come after contracting it. Rickettsia infection is also implicated in infected biltong. Be careful with raw meats.
