baby and milk

Hi Doctor, my son is 6 months old, he has solids 3 times a day and just loves it. The problem is, he is not to fond of milk. He gets about 150ml mixed into his cereal in the morning, during the day I try and give him some, but he puts up a fight, and then before bed he will take a bottle, around 175ml. So this is not alot. My daughter who is now 3 1/2 used to be the same as a baby. He grows well. Should i be worried.

Your baby is indeed taking very little formula day and milk should be his main source of nurtrition now. He is taking just over 300ml per day and should be taking more than 3 times this amount. He is gaining weight and seems to be doing well in spite of his low milk intake. It may be worthwhile trying a change of formula to one that he may prefer such as Lactogen 2 or NAN Pelargon. If he does not like these either then continue as you are doing and give him water as well to get his fluid intake up to scratch.

Hi Doc,
I have 6 month old son who seem to be weaning himself off breastmilk.I only feed him at night at morning before work. But of late he seem to be not really interested. I really want him to feed for atleast another two months. He does go for the breast but doesn''t stay very long. He''s on Lactogen 1.
