Babay skips Crawling

My baby is nine months old and is starting tyo walk, but she has never crawled or trying to crawl, can it be that she has a lower IQ then babies who crawl before they walk.?

This is very common and does not depend on a baby's IQ. Many babies skip the crawling stage,so do not worry at all.

hi. I agree with Heidi. My sister also did not crawl and started walking immediately. Today she is 27 years old and nothing wrong with her. she is very intellegent, wonderfull at problem solving. So as long as you do some play with her she should be fine.

hey rencia
we also thought our daughter wouldn''t crawl and our paed advised that in the event that she doesn''t crawl, we should just once she is stable enough, play with her to climb over chairs and underneath, lots of obsticle " play"  in order to teach her the 3D element that they learn with crawling. she did eventually start crawling but only properly after she turned one. there is also no truth in kids that don''t crawl having lower IG''s than kids that did crawl. just enjoy your little girl, she will do everything at he own pace. :)
