Q.

Asthma

Doctor, my lo is 14 months old and is on Singlair sprinkles as dr believes she is asthmatic. all rast tests were negative for igrass, mite, animals and food but she still suffers evening coughing as well as bronchiolitis 3 times so far this year. she does attend school. we live in gauteng. i would like to know whether a cold or warm humidifier should be used in her room ??

This illness does not sound like asthma.Also the RAST tests were negative for common allergens and usually with asthma in young children they are positive. She may have a post-viral infection wheeze. A warm humidifier will benefit her.
