Q.

Appropriate Weight

Hi Doc,

Just a quick question:
My son is now 22 weeks old (or 5 months by calender date), is breast fed and on 2 small solid meals a day (1 cereal, 1 fruit&veg).
What is the appropriate weight range for this stage. He weighed in a week ago at 6.6kg?

Thanks so much:)

The average weight at this age for a boy baby is around 7 kg. I would not be concerned about your baby as he seems to be doing fine and his weight is pretty close to the average.
