Q.

ALWAYS HUNGRY

DEAR PAED

MY SON WAS BORN AT 35 WEEKS WITH A BIRTHWEIGHT OF 2.5KG, HE IS NOW 18 WEEKS AND ON S26 GOLD AND WEIGHS ALMOST 7 KGS. hE DRINKS 125ML PER FEED AND DRINKS EVERY ONE AND A HALF TO TWO HOURS,, AT NIGHT HIS LAST FEED IS AT 11.30 AND THAN AGAIN AT 3 AND THAN 5 AND THAN 7. I AM A BIT WORRIED AS IT SEEMS AS THOUGH HE IS DRIINKING WAY TOO MUCH ? SHOULD I BE CHANGIING HIS FORMULA OR SHOULD I START GIVING HIM CEREAL AND WHICH CEREAL SHOULD I GIVE HIM ? PLEASE ADVICE

Your baby is a bit young for solids, but he is a 'hungry baby' These babies need so-called casein rich formulas. I suggest that you try Lactogen or SMA as his formula.
