My Kid has continous Phlegm, mucous, runny nose. her cough has been carrying on for months, at times ending in her vomiting. she often has puffy eyes with a thickish liquid particularly when she wakes up (sticky eyes). i have tried various doctors, anti histamines, flu syrups, cough medication, keep her indoors from allergies. I also have a humidifier to moisten her room, but she is continously like this. What could it be?

It seems that your little girl [age not given] has a persistent nose discharge and a post-nasal drip causing her to cough. The symptoms you mention do not suggest that she has an allergy but more likely is an infection possibly due to enlarged and infected adenoids and also her nasal sinuses.I suggest that you take her to be seen by an ENT specialist. In the meantime only use Salex or Sterimar nasal spray to keep her nose as clear as possible and boost her immunity by giving her a probiotic daily for 10 days per month.
