Q.

Allergy?

Hello doc,
My youngest daughter is 5 months old. She has had what appears to be small pimples under her eyes and on her eyelids with redness around them - they are not -|- and her eyes are not weeping or crusty in the morning. I took her to the doc, he seems to think its an allergy but isnt sure what and said he cant give her anything as she is too small. He prescribed a cream (SPF Repair if I remember the name correctly) as the skin also appeared dry and flaky. It went away for a while but has returned again. She doesnt seem to be in any pain or discomfort, she is still feeding normally and besides the teething, is sleeping well. Should I take her to another doctor or just leave it to see how things go?
Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

It is difficult to be sure what is wrong with your baby without being able to examine her. I suspect that she may have an infection of her eyelash follicles which is called blepharitis, but I really cannot be certain about this. I suggest that you get another opinion about this problem.
