Q.

allergies

I read your answer to nr 556''s question on baby with allergies. Why not carrots? as my baby seems to suffer from the same symptoms, but I have not yet had a deff answer from any of my dr''s on what exactly is wrong with my child. They did mention wheat and dairy but nobody said anything about carrots? I would also like to know whether he will outgro these allergies? He is now 8months old.

Most children outgrow milk and wheat allergies quite early in their lives, often before they reach the age of 2 years. Most vegetables that baby's eat do not cause allergies such as pumpkin, butternut and squash. Some babies develop a temporary allergy to carrots or may find cooked carrots difficult to digest.
