Allergic Runny nose

Hi Doc

I suspect my 15m old boy has an allergic runny nose. His nasal mucous is clear and it runs all the time. He is not ill at all. I went to the pharmacy and asked for an antihistamine that will not nmake him drowsy - they gave my Lorahist, but it makes him drowsy and very irritable. Both my other two children and myself are highly allergic to dust mite and I suspect so is the baby.

Can you sugest an more suitable alternative to Lorahist. Is the product you recommend obtainable without a perscription?

Kind regards

You can usually get Zyrtec over the counter.Ask the pharmacist for Zyrtec syrup. There is a generic form of Zyrtec called Allecet which you can also use.
