Q.

Allergens

Hi there - My 21 month old daughter was sent for bloodtest as we have been experiencing bouts of uncertainty wrt her allergies. It turned up that her allergy count is 9.85 and she shows no reaction to Wheat, Soya, Egg, Milk,Gluten, Peanut Butter extract and fish. She is however still experiencing pain and this week developed a fever as well. What would you suggest? How sound proof are allergy tests and what does 9.85 mean.

kind regards

It is very difficult to comment without knowing all the information. You need to discuss the allergy test result in detail with the doctor who requested it. A child who has pain and fever requires evaluation and it is best to develop a good relationship with one doctor who knows your child well.
