Advice! Had babybird in mouth!

My LOL (16month old girl) somehow got hold of a babybird. When we got to her , her whole mouth and hands were full of blood and the babybird'  s head was missing! I don'  t know what to do now - I'  ve read you can only deworm the little ones from one year onwards? My GP said I should relax and not stress about it - but what if she got germs from it??

Your baby could certainly pick up germs such as salmonella and another one called campylobacter from biting the head off a bird and being in contact with the bird's blood. It is difficult if not impossible to do anything directly about the situation now, but if she develops diarrhoea or vomiting or any fever within the next few days you will need to be on the lookout for illnesses caused by the bacteria I have listed above.
