ADHD or just active

I know you must have had this subject a few times but it is such a difficult subject.
How will I know if my child really has this disorder or does he only show normal toddler behaviour.
I' ve heard about some of the signs and read a few things about it and of course I' m confinced that he has ADHD but then again he could only be active. My son is almost 19 months now and he is driving us crazy. He sleeps very well but during the day he is very hyper. He gets bored very quickly and he is destructive. He throws temper tantrums and he hit and kick and us when he doesn' t get his way. He can' t wait for a moment for something. A good example is when we make his cereal he shouldn' t see it while we make it because he can' t wait that long and then he throws a tantrum and refuse to eat. It' s like this with almost everything. Toys, bath, activities. We can' t even take him away for a nappy change without having to fight. We tried to ignore him but it just got worse. I even tried talking nicely but it makes it worse and he starts hitting and kicking.
Where should we take him to find out if it really is ADHD?
Most parents think that we are over reacting but it really is that bad.

It is very difficult to decide whether a child has ADHD at your son's age. In fact most authotities on ADHD say the diagnosis cannot be made before a child is 5 years old. There are some feattures in your son's behaviour which do worry me especially his destructive tendency and his inability to concentrate for any length of time. Again this may just be a temporary phase. In the meantime be sure to increase his Omega 3 intake by using Eye Q or similar product for young children.
