A few questions

My son is almost 10 months old and weighs 10kgs.

He is on Novalac AR digest formula (for reflux), but only drinks 180ml in the morning, 120ml midday and 120ml at night. According to the tin he should have 3 x 240 ml bottles per day. During the day he drinks purity juice (+-220ml per day watered down more than recommended as I found it too sweet). I was really getting concerned about his liquid intake so I''ve introduced 2 x 150ml bottles of junior rooibos tea with a little cows milk per day which he loves. Is this acceptable?

He is on solids (3 spoons cereal in the morning, Size 2 jar purity for lunch and 3 spoons cereal or size 3 jar purity for supper) He used to be a good eater but his appetite has decreased.

He goes to creche and has had a cough and runny/snotty nose for nearly 3 wks. I have been giving iliadin nasal spray at night for 5 days, then saline and using bulb syringe for 3 days and then back to the iliadin but he is still having coughing fits. What can I do?

Your baby son is probably feeling 'too full' on the Novalac AR formula or it is to thick for him to suck easily. He should be able to stop this kind of anti-reflux formula now.He can change over to the regular Novalac2 formula His weight is above average for his age.
In addition he is recovering from a cold and probable viral chest infection. Keep his nose clear with saline nose drops or spray. This kind of illness often takes more than 2 weeks to clear and being at a creche is probably prolonging this illness.
