This is a very common problem. In most cases the cause is intolerance to natural sugar such as fructose in the child's diet. Fructose is the natural sugar found in fruit and fruit juices. So stop all fruit in your toddler's diet and especially all fruit juices. Also do not add any of the sugar at all to any of his food or drinks. He must not have fruit or fruit juices for at least 4 weeks. Then you can give him a little diluted pure apple juice (Ceres or Liquifruit) only about 2 or 3 times a week. For the rest he must just drink full cream milk, no more than 2 cups per day and plenty of water.
