Q.

Pediasure

Hi doctor. I wrote a while ago about our daughter who has global developmental delay. She is 20 months old now and we are taking her for occupational therapy which is helping quite a bit with balance and gross motor skills. She has been struggling to gain weight for a while now and currently weigh 9,1kg. After discussing with our GP we got a tin of vanilla pediasure to try. She doesn't want to drink it, I think it's a bit too sweet for her. Can I mix the pediasure in with her formula bottles, still using the correct ratio of water:scoop for both?

Yes, this is a good idea and hopefully your daughter will drink the mixture. Usually children a quite happy to drink the vanilla flavoured Pediasure, but you are probably right and it may be on the sweet side for your daughter.
