Q.

Nexiam

Hi doc Nexiam should be given first thing in the morning before feeds as I understand. Will it still be effective if i did not wait 30 minutes before feeding because of a screaming hungry baby? Thank you

Nexiam does take about 1 hour to be absorbed, but you can't expect your baby to wait so long for a feed. Once given the Nexiam will continue to be absorbed over a longer period of up to 4 hours and a feed should not interfere with the effectiveness of this medicine as an acid reducer.
