Q.

Is there a walking aid that only helps correct your stride?

Standing takes twice the energy and mental focus, and movement can be a challenge. It take focus and effort to begin to walk and maintain forword motion, and when I walk, jog, or run, I have a hard time going only forward. Same with with turning- i often can't turn, or start turning and can't stop. Currently, I am using a cane to somewhat bounce myself in the direction I need, but is there a walking aid that can pull me forward? I've been looking for an aid that will help me maintain velocity-and occasonally help me come to a stop, help force me to walk in a strait line, and provide assistance with turning correctly. I can "bounce" and "throw" myself in the direction I want at the cost of a jerk to my overall balance, but by myself or with the cane, I end up sore and tired from the effort it takes to commute down the stairs and/or something like shoping, so is there a walking aid that will fufill these needs that I haven't been able to find?
