Q.

Hygiene

Hi Doctor. I have a six year old daughter and she sometimes has vaginal issues. Like when she swims in a heated pool especially, and as of recently when she swam in the ocean and then said that sand went into her swimming costume. What do I do to help her when this happens. She seem's very much in pain and uncomfortable and she cries a lot. I feel so helpless. Also, is there an intimate wash for children?

It is difficult to be sure about the reason for your daughter's symptoms. She may have a candida infection, but I obviously cannot be certain about this. I also cannot advise about special wipes. May I suggest that you send your question to our CyberDoc on Health24
