Please advise if its fine to give my 8 weeks old daughter telement drops in water. I have been advised by my GP to give her 15 drops with boiled water. Will it be preferred to give her in her formula milk.

If your baby has tummy cramps and discomfort and has a lot of wind, she may have a problem with lactose intolerance. Babies with lactose intolerance cannot digest the natural milk sugar known as lactose. They become windy and have a lot of discomfort after feeds. Instead of the Telament drops it may help to try your baby on a low lactose comfort formula such as Similac Total Comfort. If she remains windy and has tummy cramps and discomfort on this formula then you can use Telament drops . The dose is 8 drops added to her bottles of formula. Telament is not absorbed by your baby's body, so these drops are safe.
