Q.

Colds

Hi Doctor. I am constantly asking my six year old daughter not to buy slushies (ice filled drink’s) at school as she will catch a cold. Is this a myth or does one actually catch a cold from having ice?

Mothers are almost always right, but your daughter will not catch a cold from eating Slushies. They are mostly ice and probably do not have any nutritional value, but they will not cause a cold as such.
