Can my HG affect my breastfeeding 2-year old

Good day I am currently 23 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child and once again suffering the effects of HG (though it has calmed down now in my 2nd trimester, with me just being nauseous all the time, but not vomiting as much). My son (turned 2 in April) still breastfeeds (though I am slowly trying to wean him off it as I can feel it draining my energy). He has recently developed what looks like cradle cap (brown flaky areas on the top of his head in 2 places, 1 thicker than the other), which he never had as a baby. He has also developed a cough which only happens after he breastfeeds for a couple of minutes to half an hour, but he stays weezy for a while after. I know I have lots of mucus build up from the HG hormones. Is it possible that my HG is affecting him this way? Should I rather wean him off immediately or continue slowly as I have been. He only has 2-3 serious feeds a day (bedtime, wake up time after the long night and naptime), the rest is just a couple of sips and then he usually wants water, milk or milo. Thank you.

You obviously have a severe form of HG. It is amazing that you have been able to continue to breast feed your 2 year son about 3 times a day, especially when you were vomiting so much during the early stages of this  pregnancy. You have more than done your best with breast feeding your son to the age of 2 years, so it is certainly time to wean him off quite suddenly. You can offer him a growth formula or regular full cream milk (not the long life kind)
