Q.

9 months bad breath / sour breath

Good day Doc,

My daughter is 9 months old and she is got bad breath, i took her to the GP and she checked her tonsils and thrush in the month nothing. I have notice the problem last month but yesterday, i was just talking in passing about the problem my elder daughter told me that since the young one birth she being feeling the smell. I do not know what to do, please advise. If she is been like this from birth which doctor should i see.

GP give her some drops to put in the mouth but still does not help.

Of course as you know, babies of this age should not have bad breath at all. Your GP says her tonsils are normal and she does not have thrush.There are some cconditions known as amino acidurias in babies where the breath can have a strange smell. It would be best to see your paediatrician about this problem.
