What immunisation does baby of 9months receive ?
My baby missed his appointment yesterday , and when they resceduled his visit, its for May when he is 1year old.
Is he now not missing out on his immunisation for 9 months.
Could this not affect his growth or wellness.

The immunisation at 9 months is for measles. This is a very important immunisation. Fortunately the measles immunisation can and should still be done at the age of 12 months. Please take your baby son for his measles immunisation.

If you are on the government schedule then at 9 months its measles and prevenar.

If you are on the private schedule it is measles, and I think you get the option of chicken pox as well. The prevanar would have been done along with the first 3 injections at 8, 12 and 16 weeks.

It won''t affect your baby''s growth but it will mean he is vulnerable to getting measles. As there are vaccines due again at a year, it sounds like what they have done is schedule your 1 year appointment and not rescheduled your 9 month appointment. If they can''t give you an appointment for later in the week or next week, then phone around to some chemists and other baby clinics. If you are on the government programme, many chemist sisters and private sisters do get government stock and you can have that done, along with a small fee for them administering it. If you are on the private schedule, they will use private stock and charge you accordingly.
