Q.

8 month old struggling with solids - continued

Thank you for your reply to my previous post I wanted to add he was on Neocate originally because of the reflux they thought it was caused by allergies. It didn't solve the issue fully just made him less windy. The ranitidine was what stopped the screaming.. this was around 6 weeks old. Do you still think he has allergy to cows milk? Things only took turn for the worse again on solids. We have an appt 26th march for neonatal antolagy will this be where we will see paediatric allergist like you mentioned or should I request another appt. Thank you again I really appreciate all of your advice, we have today tried him with apple and reduced his ranitidine. He already has butternut.. that is what I was referring to when I mentioned squash.

I do think that your baby son may well be allergic to cow's milk. I do not have your original question, but I seem to recall that your son's symptoms worsened once when you tried him on a cow's milk formula. Was it Hipps Organic? I do agree that he should be seen by a paediatric allergist and he should be correctly diagnosed and treated. I hope that he is not so constipated since you have stopped the Zantac.
