Q.

7 Month old fever keeps coming back for four days now

My baby had a bad temp of 39.2 on Saterday Morning so I gave him ponstan and put him in a lukewarm bath. I took him to the hospital and they said that his tonsils are swollen and he has ear infection. He is on Clamentin and ponstan. But now if I don't give him ponstan every four hours then his temp goes right back to 39.2. It never goes higher than that but it is still a huge concern for me. If I give him ponstan then his temp is fine. He also has a runny tummy but the doc said it is because of the antibiotics he is on. But shame man the poor little thing is not having a great time. Please help me.

The usual cause for this problem is Roseola or baby measles. When the rash appears the fever goes down.

Try give him one of the three panado/stilpane or stopayne they all for high fever as well. Try to see if he is not allgeic to antibotics. Try give him rice to eat,(rice must cook for long) this will help his stomch.
