6yr old nose bleeds

Hi my 6 yr old daughetr has been having severe nose bleeds at night. She did have daytime nose bleeds around the age of 3 which stopped. All of a sudden it starts again now and only at night. In the past 2 months they have occurred about 10 times already. It seems like quite a lot of thick blood. Her pjs and bed linen are very bloody by the time I reach her room.It does stop when we tilt her head back and apply pressure to the bridge of her nose. Why did this start up again? Can it be treated? Why at night? ???surgery. ANy advice is much appreciated.

You need to take notice of this nose bleed problem. Your daughter should have a full blood count done to make sure that this is normal.Once you know that her count is normal, she should be seen by an ENT specialist as she may require cauterisation of a bleeding blood vessel in her nose.

Hi there. I am 24 years old and had the same problem since I was a baby. Doctors and specialists couldn' t find any thing wrong with me. I resorted to " Staal druppels" , on granny' s advice. I buy it from the supermarket. I drink a few drops with water. It stops the bleeding for months! My son (3 yrs) also started with it. I gave him the same treatment. I works for 3 - 6 months. Ask your pharmasist how much a 6 yr old can take and how often. Good luck!
