Q.

6.5 months old

My little boy is 6.5 months old. When he was 5 months we moved house. Before we moved, he would sleep right through the night, only wake at 5 or 6 for a bottle. Bedtime was and is between 6 &  7. He wont go to sleep without a bottle, I think he associates his bottle with sleep (even during the day).

Now, all of a sudden he wakes up during the night for a feed, this has been since we moved to our new place. Is this normal or what? Is it ok to give him his milk when he wakes at night? Some say it is bad and it will be a bad habit for him.

Nothing upsets a baby's routine more than moving house.Your experience is typical of the kind of upset to a baby's routine can take place. You have no choice but to feed him when he wakes at night otherwise he will simply cry and cry for hours. This upset to his normal routine should only last a relatively short period and then return to normal-although it is impossible to predict for how long it will last.

Hi, I agree with the Dr but is he on solids yet? I would instead of giving him milk at night when he wakes, give him a bit of water and the dummy. That' s if he sucks on a dummy.

He might just be hungry...
